There was a push of fish in the river this past month and plenty of bait around. However that all changed this month. The guides and myself have not found the numbers of fish around like past years. By now the fishing should be close to peek and we just have not seen the schools of bass or bait. Yes there is some fish around but you have to work for them. The Merrimack does have bait and fish in the system so if you venture up there good luck.
