| Seven (7) Day Fly Fishing Forecast: | Good |
I fished the Essex River with Old friend Joe from Maine early AM. We left the ramp at 3am and waited until just before day break before the fish started to feed. Fish were feeding on the top on bait until a short front moved through. After the front passed the fishing improved with the cloud cover until much later when the sun broke through the clouds. Crease flies proved most effective at day break. We swiched to 1/0 EP flies in olive and white when you could see the tie on the flies. This produced some action for us though it was slow this morning.
