The South Holston is fishing quite well on overcast days. There are a good number of blue wings on the water and in the upper section the fish will feed regularly on them. Small midge larva are also fishing very well as a trailer. All that said, it's still a little early for the excellent fishing the S. Holston is known for, but the Watauga is on fire right now. The caddis are here and I'm wishing we had them on the Holston too! If it's overcast and drizzly, the fishing on the Holston is a lot of fun...bottom line!
