River Report for G.R.Colford & Sons Limited on the Main SW Miramichi River. The Miramichi River today is rising and showing its signs of ice out conditions. I expect with the warm weather and the spring run offs we should see our river start breaking up very soon! Or even by the weekend. Very warm temperatures in the forecast with rain for Thursday and Friday should get things really moving. The temperatures will be from (3C to 12C) or (37F to 53F) and damp weather! My lines are ready for the opener!
I will be keeping a look out on the Cains River ice out conditions this week aswell, which always goes out before the Miramichi. I will have a look at the Renous River for you and let you know how things are happening with the ice aswell.
Just maybe the ice will be gone in the next week or so. And for you anglers that changed your dates, it gives the river a chance to clear out and make things alot safer for you and your guide. The fishing will be very good when it clears and thats the time to be here on the water.
So for another boring day watching the ice out conditions on the Main South West Miramichi River, Tight Lines.
