Another surplus "brood stock" release destination every year is Berry's Brook in Rye. This searun brown trout destination is an exceptional fishery. The biggest pods of fish come in during October, but I saw fish from the bridge on Brackett's Road last weekend. NH Fish and Game stock the usual 10-12 inch fish in both the spring and the fall, but also release significant numbers of jumbo browns right around this time of year.
