The Delayed Harvest Section of the Toccoa River has been fishing well with slow methodical deep nymphing techniques on the cool mornings. Good results on tandem rigged nymphs such as a large size 14 or 16 Prince, Hare's Ear,or Pheasant Tail with a small size 18 or 20 Rainbow Warrior, Lightning Bug, or Olive Micro Mayfly on a 6x trailor. During warmer afternoons watch for rises in the slower sections of the river. Blue Winged Olives size 22 and Midges size 24 have been making appearances often enough to keep anglers coming back for more. The Tailwater section of the Toccoa has been producing some nice fish. Lots of Blue Winged Olives and Midges have been popping.Try Parachute BWO's and CDC Emergers in size 20 and 22 for the BWO's and Shuckin Midges and Rainbow Warriors size 20 for the Midge hatches. Fish 6x and 7x tippet in this clear water. Concentrate on getting a drag free drift ,it is very important on these pressured fish. It can make the difference between a five or a fifty fish day.
