The Toccoa delayed harvest section has been producing well in the last few days. Some new fish have been stocked and they are hungry. Peach Eggs and Y2K Bugs both #10's with a Pheasant Tail, Prince,or Hare's Ear Trailer # 16's have duped many a fat Rainbow. Keep an eye peeled for risers in the tails of the bigger pools as we are still having nice BWO and Midge hatches regularly up there. The emerger patterns are by far the best producers. The Tailwater section of the Toccoa is simply awesome right now. Lower pressure on the river equals less cautious fish and higher numbers of large trout caught. Some of our latest float trips have yielded many trout between 14 and 22 inches to those able to make a good cast and drift. Olive Wooly Buggers #8,10,and12 have been scoring BIG when no hatches are coming off. Blue Winged Olives # 18-24,Midges #20-26, Black Stone Flies #18, and Black Caddis #18 have all been making grand appearances in the afternoons at times. Stop by our shop in Blue Ridge while your up here were only minutes from the river.
