The Delayed Harvest Section of the Toccoa has been receiving rain and the water levels are coming up and letting the trout spread out a little bit. We are finding fish in any area where you can't see the bottom clearly because of depth or broken water. Nymph rigs in the mornings and dry dropper rigs when the day progresses into warmer conditions with Y2K Bugs and Pheasant Tail Nymphs #16 seems to produce the best early and Black Elk Hair Caddis #16 with a Soft Hackle PT #16 as the Dropper when you start seeing surface activity. As in the Tailwater section don't forget to strip a few Olive Buggers#10 in off color water. The Tailwater section of the Toccoa is still seeing Hatches of BWO's # 20-24,Midges#24, Black Stones#16 and Black Caddis#16-18 are making appearances. The big Dun Caddis Hatch is Due with a few sporadic hatches already being reported. Stay tuned and we will report it as soon as it hits! David Hulsey Manager/Guide
