Water has come to North Ark in the form of rain, ice, and snow. As a result the lakes have filled up and the tail waters are running. Shad are passing thru the dam now and the trout are responding to white minnow shaped patterns. With the heavy flows the larger browns are now distributed for many miles down stream. The clean water is up top near the dam so most efforts are spent there. This is the time of year many people look to for the chance to catch a really large brown trout. The fish feed on the shad until full and then the action slows dramatically. Time to move down river or wait a day or two until there is a new batch of shad coming thru and the fish are keying on them again. It is a real hit and miss game at best but the rewards can be awesome at times. ....Best of luck
