Extra water releases out of Warshaws Dam in East Motpelier have brought the river up and made it dingy.  Many wild rainbows appear to be still spawning, which is why fishing and surface activity has been  slow. They should be done spawning in the next couple of days;  in the meantime, if you run into any spawning fish please leave them alone to spawn.
