Seven (7) Day Fly Fishing Forecast: maybe some rain, wind...

Fishing continues to be good in spite of a small spike in river flows.  The water is in great shape, but if 2500cfs is tough wading in the canyon, 3300cfs puts it mostly out of reach for wading anglers.  Fishing from shore will improve with the increased presence of terrestrials, and the nice undercut banks of the canyon are often condusive to 'dapping' from the bank with hoppers, ants, beetles, and matching the hatch in the evening time.  Reports of dry fly fishing are mostly from later in the day, with nymph fishing reigning supreme during high daylight hours.  The upper river has some light green drakes hatching, and fishing attractor dries around cle elum can be better during the day than lower down below E-Burg, reportedly.  All in all, conditions have not changed much in the last week or two, and fishing will continue to improve, and the water will likely come up a bit soon...we'll keep you posted!
