Seven (7) Day Fly Fishing Forecast: Hot weather will make for great midday nymphing deep.

The river is fishing well, although hot weather is making things slightly less comfortable for all species involved during Hi-Sun times, the early/late dry fly fishing has been good, and the mid-day hopper & dropper game is in full swing, and will remain effective throughout the summer months.  Don't overlook the alternative streamer fishing game during non-hatch hours.  Higher summer flows will hold out for the balance of the summer in the lower canyon lands (Ellensburg-ish downstream), so wading is best spent in the upper reaches.  This is primetime for pounding the banks from a boat with terrestrials.  Bounce 'em off the shrubery into the water for the perfect, life-like terrestrial-in-peril imitation that gets the 'bows blood boiling.

 Get er done.
